Food Log for March 17 2012

Day 35 week 5
Saturday

been a not bad day I have learned you can still have things that you like but in moderation and you have to listen to your body when it's had enough. don't deprive your self  cause that's when you will set your self up to fail.

  1. I think if you were to allow yourself one treat each day....that would not be bad. It's when the junk food and fast food is the majority of your diet for the day that is really very scary, in my opinion. And make sure you get some veggies in each day.

  3. I am happy to hear about the veggies especially. They are so important to our health. Also...there are better choices at fast food restaurants. They are still not healthy though. Even the salad....they soak the leaves in sugar water. My son used to work there. Even the oatmeal is loaded with sugars. :( I miss the days of eating fast food, but knowing what i know now....i just cant do it. Have a great week!

Keep up the good work! Wait until your next weigh in!!!!

  4. Just found this....

Healthiest choice at McDonald's....even though this seems like a lot for a small salad and chicken sandwich and that is a heck of a lot of sodium....but this is the healthiest choice they say:

Premium Grilled Chicken Classic Sandwich with a Side Salad with Newman's Own Low Fat Balsamic Vinaigrette, and a Medium Iced Tea

    480 calories
    13 g fat (2 g saturated fat)
    1,945 mg sodium

    It also adds:
Just because the calorie count is relatively low doesn't mean the food is good for you. Mac's Grilled Chicken Classic matches the Quarter Pounder calorie count--but the chick has no trans fats, while the burger does. Choose the sandwich and a side salad for a good combination of protein and veggies.
